After 10 rounds on various car and track combinations, Patrick has showed the most skills, adeptation, consistency and speed of more than 60 participants, to win CityLiga X!
Below you can find an interview with Patrick, taken by Matthias Fieseler from the City-Liga adminstrators!

Interview with Patrick Kubinji
Documents and trophies are a particular kind of honor, they are visual and tangible. On the internet everything is anonymous and impalpable. Therefore it's nice when the opportunity to get an - on the internet achieved honor in real life.
In the case of Patrick Kubinji it was the 2nd time now Matthias Fieseler could honor him for the City-Liga season win, as chance would have it both are living the same region of Germany. This time Matthias could surprise Patrick even with a trophy, which delighted both. Thanks hereby to Matthias "HoR hanfer" Hanf for offering it!
As a quid pro quo, Patrick had to do a little interview regarding the past season, LFS in general and his future plans.
MF: Hi Patrick, the City-Liga X is over, you've beaten your ex-teammate Martin 'Maddin15' Brunzel in a heart beating final. How proceeded the season for you?
PK: First of all I want to say thanks to all the participants, the organizers and the broadcasting team. It was a great season! The City-Liga X began quite marbled for me. Especially the first 2 races weren't good. After that start it commenced to work awesomely well, which I didn't expect at all. So finally it was a thrilling and hard season.
MF: After the last race Jan-Ole penned a protest against you. How were your feelings in that moment?
PK: It was a low point for me. I've just earned me the championship title on the track and then it seemed like it was in vain. That's why I was very happy that Jan-Ole retracted his protest after we had a little talk about the incident.
MF: How satisfied are you that you could hold Maddin behind you? You're both direct competitors for a long time now.
PL: To be honest: It's a real gratification. I was overshadowed by Maddin all the time somehow, as he was always that tiny bit faster on some combos than I was. My first City-Liga title wouldn't have been possible without Maddin's mistake in the penultimate race, as he crashed the Raceabout on Fern Bay Black. That's why this second title is so important to me, as I've earned it by myself.
MF: How have you experienced the City-Liga X itself, which compliments can you make and which criticism do you have about it?
PK:
Pro: The organisers did a professional job as far as I can evaluate it. An indication for this is the super-fast scoring of the races which was done on the same evening. From other leagues I can tell that this ain't self-evident at all! Furthermore I liked the selection of the combos and all that goes with a league.
Cons: It's a pity that the friendship among the drivers makes more and more way for the competition and that less drivers post their race experience in the forum. I always loved to read the different point of views in the other grids as well.
Suggestion: I'd like to see a special event in the next season in the form of the Race Of Champions, which means a 1:1 knock out system.
MF: Last year we were sitting here as well and were talking about your wishes regarding LFS and its development. Now a year is past and there are no considerable proceedings to list yet. How do you see the future of LFS and how do you see your future in LFS?
PK: In the long term I'll play something different than LFS, because of the fact that LFS is proceeding too slow compared to other simulations on the market. I'm putting some hopes into rFactor 2 though. In LFS there's missing some atmosphere and there are too many things like rain, night-day-shifts and heavy updates regarding physics missing so far.
On the short term I'll continue driving LFS for sure and I'm probably going to drive the next City-Liga season as well.
MF: Last question: How do you see the City-Liga Endurance Team for which you are racing the Master of Endurance?
PK: I really favor the idea of the City-Liga Endurance Team. It connects the active CL-drivers and it's a nice experience. So is our "City-Liga is searching for…."- campaign for the upcoming MoE-race as well. I think and hope that it's a great incentive for the remaining City-Liga drivers to become part of the Endurance Team and to obtain the possibility to scent the air of the MoE. It's a great feeling to represent the City-Liga in the MoE and our current position certainly is an additional motivation. I'd never have imagined that we might even achieve the podium in the standings this season but in fact… we did!
MF: Thank you Patrick for the interview. Lastly, we wish you good luck in the upcoming seasons and your pending graduation from high school.
